July the month of Learning
- The Posture That Sustains Revival -
True revival awakens a deep hunger—not only for power, but for wisdom. July marks a season of learning, where the fire God ignites is stewarded through understanding.
Scripture tells us, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7). Revival matures when passion is guided by truth and zeal is anchored in revelation.
Learning in the Kingdom begins with teachability. God resists pride but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).
July calls us to lay aside the assumption that we already know and to embrace the posture of a disciple. Jesus, though full of wisdom, “grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). Growth is evidence of humility.
This month invites learning on multiple levels—knowing God more deeply, understanding people more compassionately, discerning purpose more clearly, and examining self more honestly. Scripture urges us, “Let the wise listen and add to their learning” (Proverbs 1:5).
Revival is sustained when hearts remain curious and spirits remain open.
Learning also requires discipline.
Paul exhorted Timothy, “Study to show yourself approved to God” (2 Timothy 2:15).
Knowledge without application breeds pride, but learning applied produces transformation. July is not about collecting information; it is about allowing truth to reshape thinking, behavior, and direction.
Revival exposes gaps—not to shame us, but to grow us. Correction becomes a gift, instruction becomes protection, and wisdom becomes inheritance. “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge” (Proverbs 12:1). When we submit to learning, God accelerates maturity.
July declares this truth:
Revival that refuses to learn will fade, but revival that remains teachable will endure.
When humility leads and curiosity follows, growth becomes inevitable and wisdom becomes strength.
